Altar Flower Dedications

Donate Altar Flowers

Many people have special days in the year which they would like to commemorate. Flowers on the altar of St. Peter’s Church can fittingly mark birthdays, anniversaries, baptism, confirmation, marriage or in memorial, or may be used as an expression of thanksgiving at any time.

When flowers are given as thanksgiving or as a memorial, a special prayer is added to the Prayers of the People and an announcement printed in the Sunday leaflet if received 2 weeks in advance. If more than one gift is received for a Sunday, the additional money is placed in the general Altar Flowers Fund. After Sunday services, flowers from the altar are given at the discretion of the clergy or pastoral care team, to sick or shut-in members of the parish - they greatly appreciate us thinking of them. Currently, the suggested donation for Altar Flowers is $100.

Please remember that there are no flowers on the altar during Lent.

If you would like to make a donation for flowers on a particular Sunday, please contact the church office: kcannon@stpetersmorristown.net and specify the intention of your donation and date desired.

Examples of wording:
